Get acquainted with FairCom’s enhanced product line

FairCom has released new versions of its major products. Below is a brief introduction to the new versions and links to their resource kits.

FairCom DB V12 (formerly known as c-treeACE) – V12 is a unified multimodel database. Its new features increase availability, scalability, performance and productivity. Being the most customizable database, it provides developers with an unprecedented level of control to meet their unique needs, such as inserting millions of records per second and implementing cutting-edge data processing algorithms.

FairCom EDGE V3 (formerly known as c-treeEDGE) – EDGE V3 is built for edge computing applications for IoT solutions and Industry 4.0 environments and is now available in two offerings:

FairCom EDGE IoT Database – Empowers developers with a fast, embedded transaction-controlled database that runs anywhere for use by applications on the edge near their data source.

FairCom EDGE IIoT Hub – Enables integrators and OT engineers in automation to easily integrate systems in IIoT environments, with little to no code.

c-treeRTG V3 – RTG is a data management solution for legacy systems, such as COBOL. RTG V3 includes new features that enable legacy systems to operate with the latest in performance, scalability, stability, and data integrity, while enabling the simultaneous use of modern programming languages, platforms, APIs and protocols.

What’s best for IIoT: An integration hub or an MQTT broker?

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0 are changing the way organizations are doing business by bridging the gap between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT). One avenue is through data integration, and in this article, we provide a quick overview of what you should look for when selecting the right tool for integrating IT and OT data.

MQTT is an important building block of machine-to-machine communications. A main reason for this is because it is simple to use and is designed for use with constrained, low-bandwidth devices.

An MQTT broker is the middleware that manages message routing within and across factories and edge computing environments. But if you have a complex environment, such as a manufacturing floor, an energy production facility, etc., you will need more than a simple MQTT broker.

@FairCom_Corp Friday’s Fact: Special Christmas Edition
NASA Apollo Christmas

With the holiday season upon us, we would like to share a festive edition of our popular weekly social media series - Friday’s Fact. This edition features an organization that is among the many who have trusted FairCom technology.

"On Christmas Eve in 1968, the Earth’s inhabitants turned their attention to the heavens as Apollo 8 became the first human mission to orbit the moon. During that night, the crew sent Christmas greetings back to Earth (listen: in a live broadcast seen around the world. Astronauts Frank Borman, Jim Lovell and Bill Anders read the first 10 verses from the Book of Genesis, and Borman concluded with “And from the crew of Apollo 8, we close with good night, good luck, a Merry Christmas, and God bless all of you - all of you on the good Earth.”

The famous Apollo 8 “Earthrise” photo is available at here.
